“The small harbour town of Hvide Sande on Denmark's North Sea coast in West Jutland separates the open North Sea from the Ringkøbing Fjord – with only a narrow strip of land in between. The fjord side offers sheltered, shallow standing-depth water for beginners and freestyle, while the North Sea side has a kilometre-long sandy beach with proper Atlantic waves for wave riding and big air. The wind comes mainly from west, southwest and northwest; in pure westerlies you switch to the flat-water spot”
