“A classic North Sea spot at the Elbe estuary, about one to two kilometres west of the Kugelbake landmark and marked by the Strandhaus Döse. The tidal flats off Döse, Duhnen and Sahlenburg belong to the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea national park (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Döse is far quieter than well-known Duhnen. Riding is tide-dependent: at high water there is open water over the flats, while at low water the sea retreats for kilometres. Best wind comes from west, northwest and southwest, and ”
