“Immenstaad sits at the southern tip of a peninsula between the Friedrichshafen bay and the western upper lake – an exposed position at the Kippenhorn that often brings the best wind on the northern Lake Constance. In westerly conditions the wind comes sideshore from the right and, with enough strength and duration, builds nice waves. What makes Immenstaad special? The exposed point catches the wind freely; easterly wind also works well once you get past the small vegetated headland by the lido. ”
