“About 25 kilometres north of Essaouira lies the small fishing village of Moulay Bouzerktoun – Morocco's best-known wave spot and a long-time host of the Morocco Windsurf & Wingfoil Festival. A right-hand wave breaks over a rocky reef slab, with two spots running, one at the foot of the cliffs and one further south at the actual beach. The wind is the northeast trade, blowing here side-offshore (the "alizé") almost parallel to the coast and strengthening noticeably in summer, reaching 20 to 35 kn”
