“The Brouwersdam in the Dutch province of Zeeland separates the North Sea from the Brouwershavense Gat and ranks among the most visited kite and windsurf venues in the Netherlands. A classic North Sea wave rolls in on the sea side, kept to rarely more than a metre by a ring of sandbars some 5 km offshore, while the inner side holds sheltered flat water.
