Best wind
Strong N per the exact source, using the north jetty's protection; losing upwind ground exposes the heavy beach shorebreak south of the jetty.
Water
Inlet flat water with rollers in the documented FoilDrive demo; ocean-side jetty waves are separately established
Hazards
Jetty/inlet water is advanced: strong current, rocks, fishing lines, surfers and vessel traffic combine with shorebreak south of the protected sector. The forum demo adds strong-wind powered-assist use but no shoreline, traffic plan or rescue detail.
Parking & access
Exact Fort Pierce Inlet State Park: $6 per vehicle, open 8 a.m.-sunset year-round; capacity closures can occur on good surf/summer days: https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/fort-pierce-inlet-state-park
“On its day one of the best wing spots on the east coast. Best set up in strong north wind. Launch under the protected jetty, get access to some well overhead north swell. If you cannot stay upwind be careful as the shore-break is very large only 1/2 mile south of the jetty. Requested-field batch 11 verified 2026-08-01: exact, nearby, regional, alternate-access, business-pin and community-candidate relationships remain explicit; unresolved items remain Unknown. Progression Project forum first-hand report confirms prone foiling just north of the Fort Pierce jetty in one-to-two-foot east swell, with cleaner morning waves and more NE-driven chop by midday; some floating seaweed was present. A Progression Project forum advanced rider's short FoilDrive demo at Fort Pierce Inlet documents flat water with rollers and strong wind. The post evaluates equipment rather than access and does not identify which shoreline or launch was used.”
