“Just south of Leipzig, the Markkleeberger See is a flooded former opencast mine and one of the liveliest spots in Leipzig's New Lakeland. Today it's a clean, tide-free freshwater venue with a watersports beach, rental and a school. You rig on the shore and ride on flat water – ideal for beginner windsurfers, wingfoil and SUP.
