“Norddeich is East Frisia's mainland classic: ferry port to Juist and Norderney, with wide tidal flats and marked kite zones on the east and west beaches. You rig and launch from the green strip between the harbour and the bathing beach. The prevailing wind is clean westerly, strongest in spring and autumn and often light in summer – for many riders Norddeich is the gateway to North Sea kitesports. Norddeich is a tidal spot with a range of roughly 2 to 2.5 metres; you ride about four hours before”
