“Kite Beach is the official kite section on Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, with a view of the Burj Al Arab and full facilities – the city's main hub. The north-westerly Shamal, a wind blowing mostly in the winter half of the year from November to March out of the Iraq/Iran direction, delivers clean side-onshore conditions over a gently shelving sandy bottom, averaging 15–25 knots. Many days stay light at 8–14 knots, but especially in January and February there are occasional days above 20–25 knots.
