Hazards
Tide controls sandbank exposure, chop and shorebreak; dangerous currents and high-water shore dump occur. Avoid the buoyed swim area, groynes and crowded Esso Beach, and use the approved kite area by the golf club: https://hayling.co.uk/watersports/windsurfing/ https://www.surfline.com/surf-report/hayling-island/604bc67d6bec13ed6e0cf33b
Parking & access
West Beachlands launch parking is charged March-October; the local guide also describes limited roadside parking for Esso Beach and asks users not to obstruct residents: https://hayling.co.uk/watersports/windsurfing/

It warns of crowds and mud flats at low water.
