Spot Guide › United States › Washington › Sailboard Park — Stevenson Boat Ramp
Washington, United States · 45.6946, -121.8778
Best wind
E and W per the map; east wind and river current can align, increasing down-current consequences
Season
Condition dependent; the 2022 map publishes no season
Water
Broad Columbia River reach with smooth rolling chop and little current in the map author's typical conditions
Experience
Community map presents this as an easy windfoil launch; independent river and self-rescue competence still required
Hazards
Columbia River current, barges and other traffic, cold water, gusts, boat-ramp users and stronger combined east-wind/current drift; no assumed rescue.
Parking & access
The 2022 map reports adjacent grass rigging, picnic tables, restrooms and no pass; verify current signs and keep the working boat ramp clear.
“The Sailworks map identifies this exact boat-ramp access as Sailboard Park and describes grass rigging, deep-water walk-in, smooth rolling chop, picnic tables and restrooms. It is kept separate from FS-1038 East Point Kite Beach because the mapped ramp is about 140 m north and has a distinct access description. The map was published April 14, 2022, so current access and parking signs supersede its operational details.”
