“Pelzerhaken sits on a peninsula in the north of Lübeck Bay, southeast of Neustadt in Holstein. From the lighthouse eastwards runs a wide belt of sandbanks: the water stays standing-depth for up to roughly 600 metres – a huge shallow bathtub with little wave, popular with families, beginners and freestylers.
