“Weissenhäuser Strand sits at the eastern end of Hohwachter Bucht, between Heiligenhafen and Weissenhaus, attached to a large holiday park with a wide sandy beach and short walks from the car park to the water. There is plenty of room to rig and launch, but the actual kite zone is only a marked-off section – the rest stays a swimming beach. This is tide-free Baltic: in WNW to NW and in north-easterly conditions swell rolls into the bay and the waves break on a sandbank about 30 m off the beach – ”
