“At Fehmarn's southwestern tip, around the Flügge lighthouse and the Orth roadstead, lies one of the island's friendliest flat-water venues. The standing area on the west side reaches roughly to the imaginary line between the harbour mole and the lighthouse – perfect for practising. Kiters have their own launch area on the east side, to the left at the end of the bay; because the Orth roadstead is too shallow for many windsurfers, kiters are often among themselves here.
