“Strande sits on the west side of the outer Kiel Fjord, with a fine sandy beach that shelves gently and is partly stony, and the harbour right next door. Home of the Kiel surf club and one of the best-known areas in Kiel Bay. The Baltic here is tide-free: no water-level window, flat to small wind chop near shore. In north and northwest the wind comes in free and clean. The prevailing west to southwest wind is offshore here but is accelerated by a jet effect in front of Strande – usable, but with ”
