“The Geniusstrand lies slightly north of Wilhelmshaven at the funnel-shaped entrance to the Jade Bay, between the city and Hooksiel – one of the best-known kite spots in Lower Saxony. Huge sand and Wadden flats, best directions W, NW, SW and N. In strong N/NE the wind smooths the swell running into the Jade Bay into nice, very wide ramps around 1.5 m – otherwise it is more chop. You rig and launch on the beach below the dyke. How does the spot work with the tide? Within a window of roughly three ”
