Thanks to its sheltered position the water is often ironed flat: a huge sandy standing area roughly 500 metres wide and about two kilometres long, with separate entries for kite and windsurf, makes the spot perfect for beginners, foilers and freestylers. A narrow spit separates the Bodden from the open Baltic – giving Wiek a lot of wind and a reputation”
