“Zempin sits at the narrowest point of Usedom between Koserow and Zinnowitz – only one to two kilometres separate the Baltic from the Achterwasser here. The Baltic side has white sand, good water quality and reliable coastal wind; in strong wind waves can reach around two metres. On the outer coast onshore directions from N, NW and W work best, while the neighbouring Achterwasser offers shallow standing water for west wind and beginners.
